Hello, we are , aCentura^® co-founders, and we cannot claim what we are not :-) We are a straight couple with 2 kids ;-)

The idea of founding aCentura^® came up in the summer of 2007, when our school, MEXICO, coincidentally received 5 guests, all of them gay. Honestly, MEXICO is not a gay-oriented school, but for some reason 5 gays wanting to attend a premium Spanish program in Mexico arrived at same place at the same time.

And merely as a result of a pure coincidence, we turned into a gay school for two weeks! But more importantly, we noticed there was another atmosphere at the school, and while discussing this with our gay guests, we thought it might be a fun idea to organize a Spanish program for gays and lesbians only.

So, with the academic and managerial experience of MEXICO (founded in 1998) and the valuable input of our gay friends and a gay staff member, aCentura^® was born in 2010.

Although aCentura^® is a brand new Spanish learning concept, all the necessary experience is available through our parent school, MEXICO, where we have been offering residential Spanish immersion courses for over a decade. In fact, MEXICO provides us with the course materials and the staff. Only the facilities are different.
